Default break in before towing

About how many miles should I drive my truck, to break it in, before I tow anything? I will be towing a bass boat.

Owners book says 300 miles for normal breakin on a 5.7 hemi. Not sure if towing would be any different.

I am not sure off the top of my head, but it is listed in your owner's manual.

What are you breakin' in? On the Cummins the manual recommends 500 miles before towing anything.

Basically it is just 500 miles across the board, regardless of make. When you do tow for the first time, don't just floor, be easy on it for a couple hundred of miles and then you're good to go.
