Default HYPERTECH/SUPERCHIPS

CAN THE HYPERTECH TUNER BE USED FOR MORE THAN ONE VEHOCLE? AS FRIEND HAS IT FOR HIS TRUCK, AND I'M INTERSTED IN USING IT ON MY DAD'S-- BOTH '04'S. I KNOW THEY CLAIM TO BE FOR ONE VEHICLE, BUT THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING YOU CAN DO (I HOPE). IF NOT, HOW ABOUT THE SUPERCHIPS? THANKS.

I read on one of the distributors website sites that it only can be used on one vehicle.

you can't do it with the Superchips either. You can tune another truck, but the original has to be tuned back to stock and then you can use it on another one. But it also has to be returned to stock to reuse. They VIN lock as soon as you tune them.

So here's a question, genius...

What happens if... Say you hook up one of these fancy tuners to your truck... You download the stock computer program onto the programmer, and then upload a new tuned program into the truck... Say you accidentally run over the tuner, or just say it malfunctions from a manufacturers defect... You send it back to the manufacturer, they give you a new one... The new programmer is going to download the already tuned program from the truck, and think it's stock values...

How are you ever going to get your truck back to stock?

I guess you'll pay the dealer a nice wad of $$ to do it for you?

Well, after I tune mine, I put it back in it's box and store it under my front seat. As far as it malfunctioning, I have no idea what you would do. Better hope gas gets cheaper
