ok imagine the top of the box........imagine having two pieces of wood cut out to that shape........now the lower piece u cut the middle out just leaving like 2 inches enough for the top piece to mount to......

oh ok i understand now. But the speakers are mounted on the top one right? And how is the amp in the bed?

also on the bottom piece there bare 2 circular cut outs that the subs mount to. before the box was covered it looked alot like the mtx box. look at that and youll get the idea. amp and cap are mounted in the bed of the truck. Fibergalss topp. wires running between cab and bed.

very air tight. wood is fiberglassed to the bottom. cannot be removed

Is it fiberglassed all around inside?
But on the two pieces that screws onto the existing 2" outline they don't leak air? Sorry to bother

inside is fiberglass also, the two wood pieces had a layer of sealent in between them before screwed together, there is no removable pieces on this box. air tight

so you put sealant between the two pieces and the 2" outlining too?
BTW what kind of sealant?
