Someone stole the glass out of my drivers side mirror! I have an 05 quad cab. Multiple dealers tell me they do not sell just the glass on this year, at least it is not available yet. Apparently I must buy the entire assembly. Now, I can understand why someone would swipe a $10.00 part of my truck.

Is the assembly easy to replace?

I'm not sure if you lost your whole mirror or part of it, but I cracked my mirror backing into a garage. I have a 98. A glass company glued a new mirror on the outside of my broken mirror. You really couldn't tell it was different unless you are looking for it. The defrost still works, just not quite as fast. I'm not sure this is an option for you or not, but I thought I would let you know.
