The other day the lamp out light came on. I have checked every light on the truck and can not find the bad light. Does anyone know how to turn the lamp out light off? Please help it is bugging the hell out of me.
My 02 started doing the same thing only it was intermittent more often than not so when i would check the light none of them seemed bad, So i decided to just buy full set of tail light bulbs and replaced them all, good thing because it had mismatch set of brands. now they're all the same, new and took care of the dash light. make sure to check the license plate light and front turn signal lights. oh yeah the reasone i started at the rear was that most of the time the warning went off was when i tapped the break.
Good luck
I have a 2002 Dodge Ram, and had the same problem. It was actually my brake lamp. Once I changed it the dash board (Lamp Out) went out. Should you find one out, probably would be best to change them both. Good luck.
I am having the same problem with my 2500 03. The lamp out flashes and chimes but it doesn't flash or chime when the truck is stopped. Do you all think that by changing the bulbs my problem will dissappear?
Check all the lights!!!! The brake lights are also tied into the light out doodade. So, if all your lights are on( ie: headlights, parking lights, turn signals, and so on) check your BRAKE lights!!!!!
I'm so glad I found this website! I was beginning to think I was crazy. My husband and I bought the 2002 1500 Ram from his dad. My husband just happened to never be in the truck when the stupid thing was flashing and beeping. I asked my father in law what it was and he said he never saw it before. Now I have proof that I'm not insane!
