You might do better to just run the heck out of it, burn the tranny until it won't go forward anymore. I don't like making suggestions such as this, BUT---it is still under warranty. Better to get a new tranny, than to wonder if it is going to hold up later on when its out of warranty. Look at it this way---they said its running "within specs" , now its time to run it through its paces, and what better way then to head to Bristol. Just keep the cell handy and make sure someone is willing to grab the other truck and head to Bristol to give you a lift home.

I agree with Mystro. Hook up your rig, run it like H%11 and drive it to the dealer.

Well, we just returned from our trip to Bristol and the 2500 never missed a step. We pulled thru the mountains for a round trip total of about 1400 miles with no problems. Seems like the dealer may have taken care of the problem.

Good to hear that the tranny worked ok for you!!! You might want to get the fluid and filter changed again when the weather starts to warm up too. Always better to be a little proactive.

The race was great, as it usually is at Bristol. I could have done without the snow durring the Busch race Saturday. It was mighty cold there. Still had some morons dressed in teeshirts though. They didn't last long and everybody else was able to spread out some.

Default Will not always shift from 1st to 2nd

2005 2500 4x4 122,000 miles

Will not always shifting from 1st to 2nd. Is something I can do besides having it rebuilt?

My friend was having problems with their Dodge Grand Caravan. I am trying to help them. There are some great tips here but something else that helped me a lot was the YOUCANIC guide on troubleshooting Dodge transmissions. It explains common issues that and what I need to check
