i was looking at getting keyless entry for my truck and the instructions say that it installs under the dash in the intrument cluster but it doesn't say where i was wondering if anyone bought one and did it themself or just had a dealer do it i would really like to get keyless entry. thanks guys

 

i too am looking and this is what i have found so far the Dodge dealer wants $150.00 plus install for the factory unit and two fobs.
Circuit city has one for $109.00 plus 20 to 50 to install if you are buying alot of stuff they said they would sell it to me for $59 go figure? that was when i priced out around 2k of radio and amps mods for my 03 2500 QC! Ya gotta sound good when ya RAMMIN!
as for the placement the keyless unit it should go under your dash on the upper leftside.

 

My Ram came with keyless entry but not the security system... purchased the Mopar secrity system off the internet... once I received it, looked at the instructions and discovered that you need a computer to reprogram the Ram's computer to tell it that it now has a security system. Since I do not have the programming computer, contacted the dealer and they said they would do the install for $125. To add the keyless entry to your truck may require the same thing... just my thoughts.

 

i found the keyless entry unit with two fobs for about $79. when i get off of work i will post the link where i found it.
