News cams improve mpg?
I was wondering if new cams would improve my gas mileage. I am going to add a K&N CAI, Flowmaster Super 40's, and an A/C pulley in order to improve my gas mileage. According to simple math, i may get the Hemi over 15 miles per gallon. I will gain as much as 3 miles per gallon from the A/C pulley, 2 from the exhaust and 1 from the Super 40's. Since i make 11.8 mpg then i will end up with almost 18 mpg but thats at the very most. I find it hard to believe that i would end up with that many but i do have friends who have gained 3 mpg from an intake and exhaust combo so thats 14mpg and the A/C pulley will make a lot more power, 12hp according to research of various brands and differant sites. I also stand to make 2-3 mpg off of it becuase the engine doesnt have to work as hard to turn the pulleys and the circuit is shorter (the belts are also changed with custom ones that come in the kit).
I just want to know if cams will give me better gas mileage, i will still prolly end up getting them anyway, but i just want to know my chances.
let me know.

If you drive between 0MPH & 65-75MPH then do the 4.56 gears first. You will gain better fuel economey and great off the line exceloration when needed. An electric fan is also worth 2 MPG and well worth the investment. the rest of your mods sound good... but Im not sure what this A/C pulley your talking about.
I purchased a ASP underdrive "CRANK" pulley and that did help my fuel economey.

i meant under drive pulley, i dont want to change my gears, i want to do most of the install myself and spent at most about 1500 bucks. do you think it's possible to get 15-18 out of the hemi doing mostly local driving?
