How clean do keep your truck????
i wash mine about every 3 days, wax every 2 weeks. its not my schedule its the well water sprinklers that pop up 20 minutes before i leave for work. can't let that stuff sit on there it will tarnish and dull it in a month.
being that my job im a detailer so ummmm my trucks nvr dirty. waxed once a week deroad oiled once a month and wax stripped off once a month to keep it from building up. interor shampooed once a month. windows rainxed once a month. i guess i baby it to much since its been givin me so much trouble but its ok. i get paid to do it most of the time.
I like to keep mine clean all the time and unless it's snowing or raining I keep it that way. Of course here it is March and it's been snowing or raining here in Utah for the last month. Having a dark blue truck doesn't help either.
LOL

It all starts on Saturday:
Saturday: Wash and dry, clean wheels and tires (Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works well), wax paint, shine chrome with Never Dull, I use "Back to Black" on mudflaps, door handles, side mirrors, trim around windows, and wheel wells. Vaccum interior, clean with carpet cleaner, use Teflon plastic cleaner on interior, clean windows inside and out, finally I touch up the seats and carpet with a lint roller.
Sunday: wipe it down with a scratch free cloth.
Monday: nothing
Tuesday: Apply spray cleaner with scratch free cloth (to the get the dust off).
Wednesday: Nothing
Thursday: Wipe truck down with lint free cloth.
Friday: Nothing
Saturday: Start it all over again!
We don't get much rain in San Diego, so the truck stays pretty immaculate. I feel sorry for you guys in snowy climates where its impossible to keep it immaculate during the winter.
Hey, do any of you guys remember the "Car Wash Wipes" by Armor-All? They came in a green and black box, and inside was an 8"x11" moistened cloth? Those things worked great! The last time I saw them was about a year ago and bouth 8 boxes of them. I'm out now, and nobody has them - not Target, Wal Mart, Pep Boys, Autozone, etc. Have you seen them around???

In the summer I'm going to go get the Ming Diamond coat, I don't know if you guys have Ming in the USA? Basically it's a paint protectant so good that you never have to wax again. It prevents the swirl marks from washing. Everyone here who is into restoring classic cars from like the 30's through the 60's gets the Ming Diamond coat done... Amazing product. Costs about $1000.
I wash mine at least once or twice a week including the door jamb, vacuum and inside windows, complete detail once a month that includes the undercarriage, engine bay and wax every 3 months.
I do touch ups with Meguire's detailing spray and microcloth beween washes.
