Default Thinking about new headers...

HEDMAN HEDDERS www.hedman.com has a set of replacement mid-length headers for the 2005 Dodge RAM HEMI... Part number "HEDMAN 79580" I can get them locally for $290CAD... That seems very cheap, and I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these headers? I do have aftermarket intake and exhaust...

I haven't heard anything good or bad about Hedman. But, headers are one thing I wouldn't go cheap on. Leaky headers will cause nightmares. I have heard good things about JBA headers, and Mopar makes some for 03-05 4x4 and 4x2 Hemis.

Headman headers are junk, along with Hooker headers. They have been around for ages and are both low quality. Save yourself some money in the long run and buy something ceramic coated that wont turn or leak.

Thank you, I spoke to a mechanic friend and he said the exact same thing. He said look into Casler headers...

If you don't mind, let me know what you decide to do as far as the headers go. Cost, ease of install, and if you are happy with what you get out of the upgrade.

Thanks~

I'm loyal to JBA, I think that's what is on my Dakota (they were on there when i bought it, so I'm not positive). Also, I've heard that longtubes are the only headers that give you significant hp/tq gains. If I'm wrong, let us all know, I'd hate to give bad info to somebody.
