You can Use a large Syringe with some plastic tubing which you can get a pet shop for cheap in the fish tank section and suck out some of the Fluid.

i know with 05's you fill to the threads...on 04's, there is a tsb out because the hole was located higher. capacity on a 9.25 rear end is 2.1L (72 oz)...
