Default Mounting hitch ball to rear bumper problem

My Ram has the hitch ball mount built into the rear bumper. I managed to get a ball on there but the plastic covers over the place to hook your chains won't come out. The one covering the mount for the ball popped right out. Anything special I'm supposed to do?

If you are talking about the three "holes" in the bumper, only the middle one pops out, you have to cut the other two out. Just go to the dealership and get the factory hitch for like $65 and you'll never have to worry about smacking the insides of the bumper on tight turns, not to mention the better capacity.

yeah...unless you are towing super light duty stuff......get the receiver that mounts to the crossmember in the rear

I got a nice LENCO for under 80.00 shipped off eBay.
It took 30 minutes to install.
ClassIII+ and ready to go!
