The best advice I could give is unless your a professional mechanic, with unique access to parts and equipment, I'd trade it in and get a truck w/a Hemi or Diesel...Otherwise there is sooooo much to swap that with time and money invested I'd bet you would be in the red..

Would be deep in the red. If you want a 5.7 buy a different truck.

If you want something unique get a 542 cid Chrysler crate engine, then be deep in the red.

Default RE: 4.7l for hemi swap(new gear question)

ok, i guess thats out of the question.

now gears, i know they make alot of difference but the thing is, i'm confused. is the ratio (lets say) 4.56, does that mean it takes the driveshaft to spin 4.56 times for the wheels to spin 1? if so, how does this help? i know you get better tourqe, but since the engine has to work harder, aren't you using more energy to get going?

PLEASE HELP!!

It ables the engine to turn easier with lower gears.

It would cost you less money to throw a PAXTON SUPERCHARGER on your 4.7L and you will be making allot more HP for allot less $$

the 4.56's where one of the BEST mods I have done to date.

SPEED SAFE, AIR RAM

i heard that the 4.7l dosen't do well under forced induction. is there a remote mounted turbo for the 4.7?

krc performence has some really cool stuff for the 4.7l also.

i want hemi power but don't like pushrod engines, just my opinion.
