Ebay Rotors? Any Experiences With Them?
I've bought rotors off eBaY for two vehicles. My current car which is a Stratus R/T, and my 01 Clubcab Dakota. The ones for the Stratus are still sitting in the box as I'm waiting on a good weather day to put em on. As for the Dakota, I had them on for over a year and never had a single problem with them. Most of the companies on eBaY are pretty reliable, as most of them are getting rid of surplus stock.
The biggest concerns is that the rotors your purchasing are the same dimensions as OEM and potentially better then OEM. Beyond that, specifically make sure to get new brakes when doing this, as you want to bed the pads as well as break in the rotors.
Regardless of what rotor you choose, be it drilled, slotted, drilled & slotted, plain jane OEM replacements, make sure that you take the necessary steps to properly break them in.
ANY rotor can wear prematurely/crack/warp if its not properly broken in. I dont want to hear comments about how cross drilled/slotted rotors crack and wear super quick. Most people who have this problem are doing one of two things.....either are not properly wearing them in....or are doing things in their car that are consistently generating heat at a super high rate and would be wearing down any rotor...
