fabtech 6" lift on 2wd QC 2005
One user on these forums pointed me to fabtech 6" lift kit;
Anyone have any opinions on this one?
Dodge 02-05 Fullsize 2wd Lifts : Fabtech 6" Suspension Lift Kit

Dont really know anything about lift kits, other than i'd like to have one. I have factory 20" rims on there now, big horn addition - what size tire would you put with a kit like this; i'd want to get new tires and the kit at the same time?>
Any feedback would help,
Thx
Boyd
And whats the difference between a body lift and a suspension lift?

I have the fabtech on my Quad Cab. Its AWESOME. I fit 35's on mine on a 17" wheel with plenty of room to go for when I go out to the desert. You gotta be careful when selecting a rim though, the first set I was gonna get, I had them test fit them, it wouldn't clear the brake. The damn brakes on a hemi are gigantic!! The backspacing is important when selecting a rim. Go with the fabtech, the ride is BETTER than stock and it looks GREAT!!!
Boyd im pretty much in the same position as you, I have an 05 1500 QC 2WD with stock 20's also and im ordering a 6" suspension lift from Rough Country. here is the link.

everyone ive talked to said its great, not to take anything away from fabtech but it just seems like the same lift for less. as far as the tires i went with BFG 325/60/20 its about a 35" tire, there sittin in my garage right now waiting for my lift. when i get it put on ill send you some pics and let you know how i like it. and as far as lift kits go you will need a suspension lift for bigger tires, all a body lift really does is raise the body up but if you want a lift that will allow you more clearance and such go with suspension, hope that helped man.
