Pro Comp tires
Anyone got any input on Pro Comp Mud Terrain tires? I can't find much on them here via the search. I've done a little Google'ing and found some negative stuff about the Pro Comp Xterrain's...about seperation and stuff. That's not cool. Haven't seen much on the MT, though.
After some 'net searching tonight, I'm now thinking of Pro Comp MT's (33") w/ Pro Comp 1079 17" rims. I originally thought I wanted the MT Classic II's, but I'm not so sure anymore.
Anyone got any Pro-Comp experience?

I have had three sets of the mud terrains on different trucks. Pro Comp is my first choice for tires. Wait till they have the 4 tires for the price of 3 deal. They usually do this 2 or 3 times a year.
I don't know too much about the mud terrains but definitely don't get the x-terrains. A buddy of mine has em on his jeep and they are worthless. They don't self clean very well in mud and snow, don't stick well to rocks, and are VERY loud on the highway. You might also look into Goodyear MTR's. I have them on my jeep and the are amazing off road, and fairly quiet on the highway. They also look pretty cool.
Thanks, guys. After further sleepless consideration, I'm actually thinking I should go with the All Terrain's. Though the MT's certainly look cooler, I don't think I'd actually be off-road that hard and that often enough to justify the extra money and the extra drawbacks of the MT's over the AT's. The AT's have a 50K mile guarantee, so they would pretty much be an every day all purpose tire, since this is my daily driver and family wagon, anyway.
So, these tires (33", 10" wide rim, 12" total width) and rims should fit on my truck, though, right? I'm planning on a 3" body lift, as well.
I'm hoping that I can order them through AAFES on base and get them much cheaper than off the internet anyway. If I buy them on base, they are warranteed (pro-rated) for the life of the tire and I get rotations and all that happy crap, too.
Thanks again!

I have owned the MT and the AT from Pro Comp. The AT will definately get you better wear and seemed to always surprisingly well for an all terrain off road as well, not the diggers that the MT were but certainly adequate. I feel it is all in what you'll be using the vehicle for, either way you won't be disappointed.
