Im gonna be sick
2 days after I bought my 05' ram I was parked at a burgerking for lunch in an all but empty parking lot and watched as this old handy capped guy walked out got into his car and backed up to about a foot from my truck stopped and then backed up another 3 feet into my front bumper (do the math) and proceeded to drive away...... He didnt get out of the parking lot, I ran out the door cut accross the lot and and stopped him and made him turn around. I have never been so pissed off or felt so sick at the same time before!!!!! But he ended up paying for all the damages and his insurance guy even said that this was a common thing with him.......F***ing OLD FARTS (sorry if your over 60)
i feel for you also, but hey look on the bright side.... Atleast your truck wasnt stolen and parted out or smashed while in pusuit... My dad owns 3 collision shops and every time i go in there he has atleast 2 stolen and recoveries that need either headlights, wheels, radio, airbags, speakers, dvd player, paint, body work or all of them combined. But then again, Detroit is also 5 miles away. Anyways guys, save yourselves heartbreak and pain to your bank account, have some kind of kill switch installed, they might still get the wheels or the radio but they wont get the whole truck and smash it.. Ive had my ram for a month and 2 days now and my dad keeps telling me everyday to put a kill switch in. If you dont understand what i mean by that... have a hidden(very hidden) switch put in that either stops the electrical current to the ignition of fuel pump or something of that sort. A good idea would be to have a toggle switch mounted underneath the carpet(so it cant be seen) by the drivers feet way up towards the firewall so you dont accidentally hit it, that way every time you get in you can stick your foot up there and toggle it without someone being able to tell... might be a pain but well worth it.
P.S. I was at my dads shop today powerwashing his parking lot and since my truck was parked in the fenced in lot i left my keys on the seat, so when the porters went around locking all the cars in the lot, someone locked mine not knowing it was mine while my keys were still on the seat. SOmeone asked me to move it so they could get there car out and i started freaking out cause his shop is about 40 minutes away from our house where my spare is, one of my dads managers came out and said, "Oh, no problem" im like whatt, 2 minutes later he came back with a little tool and stuck it between the weatherstripping and my drivers window, 10 seconds later he had it unlocked. Alls he said was, "a hangar will work just as well" so your car can be easily unlocked from the outside...
