Dodge Splash Guards Rubbing Paint?
Anyone have the Deluxe Molded Splash Guards? Are you front ones rubbing the paint off? Mine have been on there since Christmas and have rubbed a line along the curve of the guard down to the primer coat. POS Guards!!![:@]
Yeah man mine have done the same thing. I don't worry about it too much, because if you ever remove the splash guards, you can put on some fender flares and over it up.
I looked today at mine and found the same thing. That's just freakin unbelievable!!! Have you talked to Dodge about it? I wonder how many other people have that problem or if they even know they got a problem with it.
I will have to look at mine tomorrow, although I detailed the truck a couple weeks ago and did not notice anything. Are your guards installed with all the screws including the one that is along the bottom of the fender? When I installed mine there was not a hole for the fronts along the bottom of the fender, where as the rears already had the hole.
Look at it this way, without them you would have lots of stone chips.

I agree SRT. The rubbing occurs on the outside, bottom part of the fender. It isn't noticeable unless you push the splash guard forward - then you can see where it rubs. I'd rather have that, than paint chips or caked on road grime.
You must have different Dodge Ram mud flaps. I cant see where it would rub. Do they look like mine???

I too am very disappointed with this mudflap wearing but also with the poor quality of the Dodge paint in general. I previously owned all Fords. I plow snow and the Ford paint took a beating. So far, only plowed 2 snows this past winter and I have scratches all over the place. Not to mention marks down to the primer from what I think are shopping carts in a lot. This is one of the only complaints about the Dodge.
