What is the best exhaust for an 04 hemi 1500 pickup?
HI All,
I am interested in buying an exhaust for my 2004 ram 1500 4x4 quad cab pick up (hemi). Not sure who to go with. I don't want to have tremendous interior noise...but want a performance upgrade thanx in advance for your help.

The gibson side swept is fairly quiet. As far as HP upgrades, I doubt that you'll notice much with the Hemi. If anything, you can swap out the muffler and keep the resonator. Keep away from the Flowmaster 40 series if you want it to be quiet in cab.
Most every exhaust company has sound clips for for truck go to there websites and take a listen .If you need any price checking let us know we will be glad to help .

Thank you... a few questions... whereis the 3rd gen Ram forum ? this is what I am thinking of going with... Is this super loud on interior noise? this is a 50 series muffler not 40.. Is that much of a difference?
Flowmaster is the cheapest and probably loudest, but you're not going to see much, if any performance out of it. You probably wont see much out of any exhaust system, but if you're willing to spend money, go with a nice Borla or Corsa set-up.

I had Flowmaster 50 series put on it. I have an 04 QC Hemi. And its defently the loudest of all the systems. I love it, and get complement all the time everywhere i go. I can accelerate hard to pass some one and watch grandma in the car cletch her chest and try not to have a heart attack. But if you want that quite stuff go with magnaflow, and like Hemi man said, if money aint a thing go with Borla, but i still think Flows will be the loudest, real deep and strong.
Be a rebel, keep your stock exhaust. [8D]
It's actually an efficient system and there's not enough of a performance gain with aftermarket cat back systems to justify the expenditure.
Swapping the muffler will get you a little better sound, Gibson has always been my favorite too.
Put a tip on the end and you'll be in with the "in" crowd.

I have a super 40 and I do not think is that loud. Granted it is louder than most, but surely not too loud. On intial accel you will hear it but in 4th gear and idle around 1500rpm it is whisper quiet.
