Default CD Changer died, what would you do?

42k miles and my 6 disk changer dies in the truck. I think its really dead, it makes this moaning motor sound and not a single disk moves...

I really liked the indash player so what are the replacement options?

Is anything compatable with the steering wheel controls?? I use those ALL the time...

Anyone have an 03 6 disk they need to get rid of????

I would check EBay, it is usually loaded with this kind of stuff.

See http://www.crutchfield.com , they have an exact fit for your truck and an adapter that will make your steering controls work like normal. No problem.

DO NOT TOUCH IT!

I had the same problem. If your truck is under warranty (heck, even if its not!), do not play with it, take it to the dealer, have them replace it. I wanted to try and talk them into upgrading my CD player to an MP3 player they got in some other models, but I played with the changer until it finally popped out my CD and then it wouldn't reproduce the problem. They couldn't do anything unless it was truly broke.

Well, I would bring it back but its out of warranty.

Are there any limitations to the crutchfield adapter??
