Whats up to all! Im new to the forums, but Im already impressed with all I've found so far. My question is tht I ordered the Infinity system on my new Ram Sport 4x4 QC, but Im a little worried about reading all the negative feed back about the older (05's &04's) Infinity systems. Does anyone have the Infinity 7 speaker upgrade on their 2006 Ram? If so what do you think? Thanks fo any help!
I ordered my truck three weeks ago tomorrow, so I should be picking it up in less than two weeks, keep your fingers crossed! Im so pumped I really cant wait.

 

It is stil the factory speakers and they don't sound very good in my opinion.

06 Laramie with Inifinity system

 

I've never had a great aftermarket system so I don't have the best comparison, but I have the upgraded infinity system in my '05 and I think it sounds great, except every once in a while it makes the driver door vibrate, that's a little annoying.

 

I had the Infinity sound system in my 2004 HEMI QC and also in my new 2006 HEMI QC. I think it sounded better in the 04 but's it still a hell of a lot better than the stock one.

I have no complaints at all except I wish I could turn it up a little louder on certain songs. I love the remote controls on the steering wheel, the 6 disc CD changer and the Sirius radio. The other exception is the clock is much smaller on the 06 than it was on the 04.

When you get to be my age you learn to appreciate the bigger numbers and letters. I hate putting on glasses to read the clock!

It stinks IMO, changed it out in the first month. Running JL's all the way around.

 

Its really very subjective. It depends a lot on what type of system you are used to hearing. I think the highs are much improved from the previous models and overall the sound is clear but I did add subs to my system.

 

Yep, very subjective. My daily driver is my Neon with a $1200 kick butt system, so my view may be biased

 

IT'S JUST OK. NOT MUCH BASS FROM BACK SPEAKERS. DEPENDS WHAT YOUR USE TOO.

 

Mine sounds good, but then who knows if mine is truely the factory system. My truck was a Dodge corporate show truck before I bought it. That means they took it around to auto shows and events to display. Its an 05 QC Laramie with a HEMI of course and when I crank up the stereo its actually has some decent sound and hits pretty good suprisingly. Now granted its no 12 inch sub hit but Its not crap either.

 

I just got my new 06 1500 sport quad on Saturday and the Infinity system is very, very, disapointing. I got in a new Magnum with the Kicker system and it sounds great...I wish my truck had the Kicker system option instead of the Infinity...

I love the truck other wise!!! Black metalic,leather, sunroof, Nav, power everything....and yes it has a HEMI!!!!
