Retrofit a Bi-xenon projector into stock 04 Ram headlights
Ok guys I am looking to retrofit a bi-xenon hid projector into my stock headlights for an 04 Ram pickup. What are the parts I would need from top to bottom?
Would this be all I need to complete my project?
Ebay item # 8057462081
Please anyone let me know everything I need to do this project.
I need to know what size of bi-xenon projecto would fit properly into my stock headlights. (E55,TL,RS6 is what I have been looking at but don't know which is best to fit properly)
I am lost.

RE: Retrofit a Bi-xenon projector into stock 04 Ram headlights
I tried this and was not pleased at all. Here's why.
[ul][*] HID bulbs are single element, not twin so no Hi-Lo using the stock housing, just "blind everybody" bright.[*] Since the HID bulb has a different element configuration than what the reflector was designed for, it throws light everywhere and actually doesn't light up the road any better. Actually worse.[*] Since there's no second element, the dash indicator light for "Bulb Out" is always on.[*] Finally, they wouldn't start up half the time without the engine being off so I had to turn on the lights, then crank the motor. Weird.
[/ul]
I've still got the $300 pieces of crap in a box in the garage collecting dust. Save your money and go with the Sylvania super blue's. They work well. Plenty of light.

If you switch to an aftermarket housing assembly like SIG wants to sell, you might be all right. I would assume that they have an additional bulb and wiring for the high beams. Factory doesn't.
You may want to read the tech section at Daniel Stern Lighting. They really explain things in a fairly easy to understand manner. Wish I'd read it before I spent the cash on the HID's.
