Default 06 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT odometer/speedo not working

I have a 2006 1500SLT Big Horn and the odometer/speedo quit working on it. I really don't want to bring it in the dealer again so im assuming a simple sensor on the front wheel, rear wheel or transmission came loose. Does anyone know where this sensor is at on my truck so I can check to make sure it hasn't come loose?

Thanks

Speed sensor is located in the rear differential housing. Common failure.

you have three speed sensors total two are located ot the trans, one one the rear diff, the trans sensors are input and out put sensors. the input is at the front of the trans, the out put is at the rear of the trans, they all look the same in fact they are! the pcm controls the function of what they do... it is also very easy to replace them.. hope this helps good luck...

I highly suggest you download the Service Manual for your truck and start going through it. You will be surprised what all you will learn from it

An uncommon fix for this atleast for me after replacing all the speed sensors was i had a 20amp "spare" fuse blown. It was labled spare in the fuse box from factory, but after going through and finding it to be the only burnt fuse i replaced it and it fixed the problem.
