PLEASE HELP. MY 02 RAM 1500 360 WILL START TO MISS AND SKIP AND FINALLY GIVE ME MISFIRE CODES FOR WHATEVER CYLINDER NEEDS HELP AND i PULL THE SPARK PLUG TO FIND THE PORCELAIN TIP PARTIALLY GONE AND THE PLUG IS A REAL ORANGE COLOR. WE HAVE REPLACED EVERYTHING BUT THE COLOR OF THE PAINT ON THIS TRUCK. SENSORS, COILS, WIRES PLUGS, OXYGEN SENSOR, MAP SENSOR YOU NAME IT>>> MY MECHANIC FRIEND SAYS BY LOOKING AT THE PLUG IT LOOKS LIKE DETONATION. WHERE IS THE COMPUTER THAT CONTROLS THE TIMING ADVANCE AND WHERE CAN i GET ONE. EASY TO REPLACE ? i USE ONLY 93 OCTANE AND NEVER HEAR A PING OR ANY INDICATION OF DETONATION[:@]

If only one spark plug is wrong color then the problem is only with that cylinder. 1st guess would be bad injector, 2nd would be leaking intake gasket, 3rd would be the infamous valve seat failure issue. That is also listed in order of least expensive to most.
