Bumper
I just noticed, that my bumper isint straight on my truck, on the passenger side the gap between the side of the bumper and the headlight is like an inch, and on the other side it's about half that. Is there anyway to level the front bumper.. any sort of adjustment? and what do you think could cause it? You cant tell from looking at it straight, or at least I never noticed it.
It is pretty easy to level the bumper. Open the hood and loosen the bolts that attach it to the frame, have a helper hold it straight and wrench em tight again. It may be crooked because someone bumped you in a parking lot or the bolts just came a little loose. They are slotted holes.
It has probably been like that all along, and you just noticed it. The factory sets bumper off of the front end fender sheet metal, and then uses spacers to set the gap between the fascia and the fenders. There are slots in the fascia that allow it to vary in height. Figure out which fender to bumper fascia gap you like best, and loosen the screws in the fender securing the fascia. Set the gap you like best, and retighten the screws. Unless you can tell the bumper is off, leave it alone, and adjust the bumper fascia.
