Sorry to hear about your experience with your 2004 RAM. Sorry even more that it could not be corrected. I too had a lemon law story about Toy-crap-ota pickup, but I vented that here already in other threads. Chrysler has committed to losing the poor quality cloud that it made for itself back in the 80's and 90's. I purchased my first Dodge RAM in 95, and have not owned anything but Chrysler since. Each new vehicle I have bought, has actually improved in quality over the previous. And I guess my dealer is pretty good as well, because they have always been able to fix whatever I brought in, and in a timely manner.

It is truly unfortunate that so many things have gone wrong with your RAM.
Wow, that's interesting you had such a bad experience with a Toyota. You gotta admit, Toyota, as well as the other larger Japanese automakers just aren't known for that. Semi-ironically, I traded my rock-solid '02 Tacoma for my POS '04 VW Jetta GLI. I agree about D/C trying to get rid of the "poor quality" cloud. I actually went against my own proclamation that I would never own another domestic vehicle when I bought the Ram. The VW was such a piece of crap, and I did a lot of research between the Titan (which was actually #1 on my list) and the Ram, and I ended up biting the bullet on the Dodge. So far it's been trouble free and I've had nothing but miles of smiles. I love driving that truck. Hopefully DC doesn't let me down.

My '97 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT was great and when I traded it in it had 130K miles. The only reason I traded it was because I could not pass up the $10K+ savings last year after Katrina when nobody was buying the bigger trucks.

Now I have had my 2005 Ram 1500 ThunderRam for 9 months & it has never been back to the dealer since I bought it.

Perhaps you got a bad one and/or the dealer sucks, that happens to every manufacturer now & then... Fords more now than then

Try a different dealer!
