It will not damage your engine but of course your warranty is gone. Its the same as camming a 350 to a 383 stroker on an old chebby. Not real difficult either but if you are going to cam you should just go ahead and do the pistons and the intake and get the heads done too and make it a 6.1. The cam alone will increase HP but I do not know how much and its relatively easy to change, you pull the radiator and it basicly will unbolt and pull out from there. Ok maybe not "that" simple but any hot rodder who has built a motor or ask any ricer that you can get some more HP and its a relatively easy mod.

Default RE: transmission upgrade

i initially posted this after i purchased my 03 Ram used with 29K on the odo. the guy told me that all he did was pull the #10 pin out on the trans computer and it acts like a shift kit. i really cant say if there is a difference from stock or not because i havent been able to drive the truck much yet. i will tho be posting as soon as i put the plug back in and let everyone know the difference. as far a warranty issues go, all u have to do is make sure the pin is back in when u take it to the dealership.

was pull the #10 pin out on the trans computer
I'm going to plead ignorance on this one. Is it a fuse or something else? Can you explain how to do this mod? I don't know too much about automatic tranny's, but I'm very interested in it.

by #10 pin he means the tenth pin on the pcm harness. the fourth connector is for your transx on an auto (manual doesn't have a fourth). they are simply talking about removing the tenth pin in that connector.
