HELP vibration on acceleration
new to me (4,000 miles) '05 quad cab, short bed, 4x4 awd, hemi...
on hard acceleration or under a load (towing up a hill)...the truck has a vibration that is moderate to bad..
three trips to the dealer...reclocked the drive shaft, replaced the front axles, inspected the front differential..no change...the "chrysler engineer" was consulted and he sent back a message to the dealer (four weeks later)..." the problem is known by chrysler, however there is no fix"...WTF????
a call to chrysler customer service was useless. they said take it to another dealer until someone figures it out..
has anyone experienced this issue? has anyone dealt with the lemon laws in california.
anyone want a nice truck???

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I had a Nissan Xterra that was awful when it came to vibration. So bad, all of my guests riding in it would comment on it. I got rid of it for something else.
I have an 06 Ram Sport QC 2500 HEMI. I had a vibration upon acceleration and hit 1200 RPM. I narrowed it down to the exhaust. Gibson Performance installed a Swept Side exhaust for me. The vibration is now gone. I heard from Hunter Dodge in Lancaster,CA that there have been numerous people taking their trucks in for the vibration. It all comes back to the exhaust.
this is steering wheel shaking, window rattling vibration. i'll have the exhaust checked but can't imagine thats it.. one of the service guys said that it went away when they disconeccted the front driveline and drove it around ... great, a 4x4 that only works in 2x4....
Experiencing the same issue with my 04 QC/SB 4x4 (part time), only when in 4 high and under load. The truck is also new to me with 39k miles on it. The vibration progresses up to about 50 mph from 15-45 it's quite noticable in the steering wheel. I'm not positive what's causing it but an imbalanced driveshaft, improper pinion angle, bad pinion bearings, and bad cv's can all cause this.
I have raised the front end by doing TB crank. This is the only change I've made to the truck suspension wise. I'm wondering if the change is what's causing the vibration in my truck. I only cranked it 5 truns, it was bone stock when I bought it and I don't recall feeling the vibration prior to doing the TB crank.

I also had some vibration sounds untill i went out and kept hitting the metal side of the truck and the rear wheel well was hitting the metal causing the vibraion. i just made a hole and put an extra screw where it was vibrating. Now it's gone.
