lots of exhausts in case anyone was wondering... kinda high priced me thinks

 

I got the 40 series Flowmasters on my truck. They are loud as hell. I payed $300.00 out the door for mine here in Ca. It included tips and installation.

 

Dual Flowmaster Super 40s here with 2.5 piping and 3 in. stainless tip. $170 for 2 mufflers and $250 for install.

 

Gibson Super Truck hands down it's gotta be. They even have a disclaimer saying that it dosen't meet the 86 DB standard most states have. I love it!

 

Flowmaster 40 series dumped. It's loud as hell and I only have a 5.9L (plus you get a bunch of stickers to put on your garage toolbox). I can only imagine how it sounds on a hemi.

 

does your truck have the stock exhaust? I have an 05 truck w/ the huge round muffler and a small resonator back by the spare tire. If that is what you have, have a muffler shop replace the round muffler with a piece of 2.5" pipe. LOUD as hell for 75$

 

That's a good way to get a ticket, not to mention loose back pressure. It's illegal in most states and cops will hound you about noise violations. Just fork out the extra money and get a good sounding exhaust.

 

Glasspacks are basically the same thing, a straight pipe with some fiberglass insulation (that over time blows out anyways) and in SOME places it's NOT illegal... So it would definately be the loudest exhaust. I have it on my truck and I love it... And I've never been bothered by the police.

At $50 (including installation), it's the cheapest and loudest solution.

Also, the back pressure will be created in the catalytic converters and pipe leading up to the muffler... Dropping the muffler and resonator completely will not harm the backpressure of the exhaust system.
