Default First Post: 2004 Ram QC 4x4 1500 Tire Question

I don't want to put a lift on it yet, but I want to put some bigger tires on my 04 1500 4wd QC. Will 305/70R17s fit on stock or is it better to just stick with the 33 x 12.50R17s (or 285/70)?

I've seen a lot of 1/2 tons running the BFG All Terrian 305's. I think that is the max that can be stuffed in there without rubbing without a lift. But be prepared to loose some MPG's. BTW the 305 is equivelent to 33's.

I was considering the same mod but for a 2500. I've been told that 2 inch front leveling spacers are all that are needed for the 305s/35 inch tires to fit.

305's will fit stock, hell some 35's fit stock. I have 35's on my truck now, but I do have the daystars up front and AAL in rear. I can stuff them all the way with NO rubbing. Hell on the mpg though! Also 305's are NOT 35" (they are in-between 33"-34", depending on the tire), 315's are equilevent to 35's.
