Does your Ram have SVD? (Stinky Vent Disfunction)
Everytime I use the vent, AC, or anything that comes out of the blower motor, the air stinks. Is there a filter in front of the blower that I can inspect and maybe change? Does anyone else experience this? Is there maybe a TSB on this that someone is aware of? It's an '02 with 53,000 miles on it. I bought it used last November, in 2005. Thanks in advance for any help.
You're getting bacteria building up on the evaporator inside your HVAC unit. The water builds up inside the HVAC, then the water sits in there and bacteria and fungus builds from the sitting water. Try using your AC more often to keep the water from sitting.
Maybe there is something in your cowel or blower case, doubtful, but you never know.

ya i had the same thing underneath the passenger side dash is the blower motor i had some leaves in their that we way past dead. its only held in by a couple of screws and stuff so its not a hard thing to do. give that a shot and see what happens, if that doenst solve it park your truck somewhere spray that inside with some antibacterial febrezze and turn it one to inside circulation on high and let the febrezze circulate through the system.. these are just some suggestions, hope they work
the local dealer here has a detail shop where they hook up a Ozone machine to your vents and it kills smoke, svd and mud. lol if you so happen to cover your vents crossing the creek.
i have had ozone done twice and it worked great.
