I'm thinking of maybe purchasing 4.56 gears but i want to kno the PROS and the CONS about them

i kno the cost of them are around 200 bux

i'm also wondering how much it would cost for installation

any info would be appreciated

4.56 is a good ratio for 35" tires. You can expect to pay $400-$700 per axle for the swap. (4x2 = 1 axle, 4x4 = 2 axles)

 

We sell the gears for $190 and if you are local we would install them for $200 per axle. The going rate on gear swaps is between $200-$300 per axle. Let me know if you have any questions.

I agree but I would say more like the 4.56's are great UP TO a 35" tall tire, 35"and above you would be better served with a 4.88 gear (This only for goes vehicles equipped with a .67 overdrive).... If your stock tires are 30" tall then 4.56's would be PERFECT combined with your .75/.67 overdrive and tall tires... You will gain approximately 300 RPMs going from 3.55's to 4.56's at 60MPH... You will barely notice the RPM gain in overdrive.... but out of the hole they will snap your kneck back like you would not beleive... NO CONS... All PROS.

As for installation... You would be better off shopping around and getting a better idea of what it would cost to get them installed... I think stripper was guestamating a bit low, but you will spend anywhere from 450.00 Parts + Labor to 1200 parts plus labor. So do shop around... and dont let ANYONE tell you 4.56's are too much gear... If they have NOT drivin a vehicle with a .67 overdrive and 30"+ tall tires with 4.56's... if they had then they would not tell you they where too much gear.

i just had the 4.56's installed yesterday......my rpms went up 700.

 

At what speed & what gear? In overdrive there is no way you will gain 700 RPMs at 60MPH... Its not mechanicaly possible.
