Default New Cold Air Intake

I bought the Cold Air Intake off Ebay. It came polished aluminum with K&N Filter. I then insulated it and made front dam out of part of a five gallon bucket. What do you think?

I paid a total of $118.00 for the CAI with shipping and mods. The =AIR=RAM=> is $290 with shipping. When I found out about the AIR RAM I had already purchased the intake. I think this will do just fine for now. Thanks for the info.

I noticed the aluminum was very hot in the engine bay. I am positive this will keep the air cooler. Therefore more HP and fuel economy.

Buying a cold air intake without doing before and after readings of your engine's MAP sensor is like throwing money out the window.

Listening to Hanks advice knowing he has ZERO experience with a 3rd Gen Ram is like driving blind! Hank don’t you have some work to do on your 2nd Gen Ram?

You can get that type of insulation at Home Depot or lowes... I think. It looks like the 1/4 foam with aluminum backing. I have seen that in the plumbing department to keep hot pipes from losing its heat in the winter months.

It is WORTH the time to insulate, it may not look pritty but it will be functional.
