Default 2005 Ram 1500

I'm trying to find the specs for my truck at the rear wheels. Its a stock 05' Ram 1500 SLT Single cab Short bed, with the 5.7L Hemi. I know the engine is putting out roughly 345hp at the fly wheel but I dont know what it is at the rear wheels, I think Ive read somewhere that it was 290hp on one of the stickers when I first bought it. Anyone know this information or where I might be able to find it? (and yes I already googled it)

There are a few dyno pulls that give the stock hp floating around the net. It is usually in the neighborhood of 270-275rwhp. If you go to Air Ram's website, I know he has dyno results for a stock hemi and his CAI system. He's also a board member here.

The only thing and i dont know if this makes a difference or not is that he was using a 03' and he doesnt say what type of truck he's doing the dyno on. Im fairly sure that over a 2-3yr span that they could of made it more effective/powerful than the one he tested. Again I dont know if that would have made a difference or not considerig I dont know what trany or gears or anything like that that would have changed over the last 2-3yrs that would make a difference but thanks for the information....

Nope the trucks would be identicle. The 03 and the 05 are the same with the same powerplant, and the truck he tested was a quad cab 1500 and it had the 5spd auto tranny, the standard transmission that has been trusted behind the Hemi for a few years now.

...a totally stock hemi will not put 290 hp to the wheels...ther is a claim on another forum that one did....it's pretty relative tho...som dynos will show high readings...
