Default New Tonneau Cover

I asked about tonneau covers last week and decided that the Extang BlackMax fit my budget and the appearance the best. I ordered from TruckXpressions, one of our sponsors here at DF. The order was very quick and the rep I spoke to was very curteous and polite. My cover arrived yesterday, 3 business days after it was ordered.

I tried to contain my excitement and had dinner with the wife before I decided to put it on. My wonderful wife then helped me put it together. It was really simple to put together and on the truck. It took about 25 minutes from tearing open the box, reading the instructions, and cleaning everything up. The rails snap together, then you place it on the bed, center it, place and tighten the clamps and snap the cover on. All of the parts are labeled and is relatively idiot proof. I washed the truck this morning and it kept the bed perfectly dry and I was trying to get water in the bed. I sprayed around the perimeter of the frame and cover. Anyhow, I'm posting some pictures so everyone can see what it looks like.

Did you need to use the foam tape?

No I didn't use any foam tape. There is a very, very minor gap at the front between the edge of the bulkhead bedliner and the sides of the bed. About 1/16" or less by about 1" wide. It didn't let any water in that I could see when I washed it, so I'm not going to worry about it. If it does end up letting water in there, I'll get some. It was so quick and easy to attach to the bed, I figured I could add some later if I needed.

Nice Doc,
It'll come in handy for your move if you run into rain too.

I really need to get a pic of my ride up. I have a digital camera now, just never seem to get to it when the truck is clean---that only seems to last a day or two.
