Exhaust Modifications + Cold Air Intakes
There has been alot of posts related to these topics. Can one of the Dodge techs and/or one of the other experienced members provide a link to an article that explains each of these modifications in laymans detail. Im a data comm guy ... I know how I want my truck to sound and look, but may not be so educated with respect to selection and effect of my selection.
Thanks alot ...

What I need to know is what type of exhaust sound you're looking for. chambered mufflers such as flowmaster, spintechs give more of the old muscle car throaty sound while straight through mufflers such as borla, magnaflow give a smoother exhaust tone yet still aggressive but tamer.
If you want to save money and get modifications that really improve things,
skip the air intake for now
and concentrate first on exhaust,
where mods can easily improve both torque and MPG slightly.
Start by reading this:
http://www.howstuffworks.com/muffler3.htm
Then tackle this
http://superchevy.com/technical/engi...exh/index.html
(read at least twice a few days apart and don't worry if you don't understand everthing the first time)
Then read about 'real world' tests done by these two hard working brothers:
http://www.pontiacstreetperformance....p/exhaust.html
Finally when you have this new knowledge
be like the Hand brothers and actually measure your exhaust backpressure with a simple gauge:
