Default Why cant I build an exhaust myself ?

Is there any reason why I cant build the cat back myself ??

Why cant I buy a stainless intermediate tube between the Cat and, for arguements sake, the flowmaster 50 hd then add a tailpipe - clamp it all together and have a chrome tip welded on at the local shop - heck for that matter, let them well all the joints ... ?

What side exhaust is standard on the 06 Mega cab Hemi ?? The Flowmaster 50 hd has 3" O/C in/out ??

You can weld it yourself if you're so inclined. Just keep the pipe/tube diameters the same and you should be golden.

Heck, you could build the whole dang truck yourself if you know how and gots the tools.

Tricky part with exhaust are the bends around the rear axle, etc.

I bought the gibson short exhaust comes out before the rear tire. I wish I had made it. I bought a kit of mandrel bends form Summit once and made an for my Chevy.

Super easy to do, could be done with clamps but welding is much better. Just remember the more continuous your weld is the less chance for a leak. I used a MIG on the exhaust I did and welded each entire seam in one bead with a friend slowly turning the pipe for me.
