Default under coating....

I took a good look at some dodge trucks today, and I observed theirs no factory under coating in underneath or inside the box where it's bolted to the frame.... I was also surprised how wimpy the rear bumpers are, Surprised, also thier is no resonator on the ex on the 2500 5.7 ( just observation ) I wating for my new truck and I can't wait to get the Ram....

Can I get away with adding roofing tar or buying the under coating my self and apply it my self? Most places I have seen spray on a waxy type substance..

I hope my truck was made in Fenton Missouri and not in stiletto Mexico....I know the 5.7 are are built in mexico...

NAPA undercoating will work fine.

Since the new quad cabs came out in '02, undercoat is almost a necessity if you drive down gravel roads.

It sure would be nice if they could figure out how to re-formulate LineX (and tweak the application system) for use as an undercoating... Apparently it goes on too hot and under too much pressure to spray it up. They will do it if you have a stripped frame or a body tub though...
