Default Rubbing Noise

2005 standard cab Ram 1500 5.7, with the Mopar CAI, 50 series Flowmaster. I have an unknown rubbing sound under the hood after the truck has been driven long enough to get warm. Noise is constant, similar to rubber againt metal rubbing sound. I have noticed the rubbing will stop if the hood is opened. I suspect that the CAI is possibly causing this, but all parts are fastened and bolts are tight. Rubber strip is in place on the heat shield. Has anyone heard of this? I took it to the dealer, and of course they couldnt pin point the prob. Help from the noisy rubber!

Check and see if the fan shrouw is being pushed down into the fan blades from the hood. just a idea. Try closing the hood slow and feeling for some thing binding as its almost closed as the rubbing sound starts also might help.
