cool, how much are you paying for propane? I thought about doing that with my truck, but LP is really expensive here and I dont think I would save much over the long run. what kind of mileage are you seeing?

 

LPG round here (NC) varies from place to place depending on the sellers mood. Most want to sell it by the pound, or more to the point by the 20lb refell prices for a BBQ tank untill you tel them there are 4.23lbs to the gallon and hand them a calculator mentioning to deduct the service charges etc, it then works out about 1.89 per gallon right now, but will fall when I install a 500 gallon tank and a transfer pump. Milage is about 14 average on gasoline and about 12ish on LPG. If gasoline keeps going up in price , LPG will no doubt follow it , but as it is classified as a home heating fuel it can't go much higher right now I hope.

What was the approximate cost of the conversion?
