Clanking noise coming from front wheel after installing new rims
I switched out my rims on my 04 1500 and now the front wheel, seems like the bearing is making a clanking noise. I jacked it up and when you spin the wheel back and forth a couple of inches you can hear it. Would this be cause by the new rims?
What size wheels did you go with? If they are 17s, not all aftermarket 17s clear the calipers. It's possible the calipers are dragging on the inside diameter of the wheel. I'm running aftermarket 18s, and they clear by less than 1/4" -- but they do clear.
They are 22" so they clear the calipers, nothing is rubbing just a clunking noise, taking it back to the wheel shop tomorrow to see what they have to say.
