bout a week ago or so i had super 40 single in dual out the back installed. Well this muffler shop came highly recommended. After they did the work i was very happy, easy in, easy out and reasonable pricing.

Well i have since installed some nerf bars and a CAI. I am now gettinga small knock on the front when i turn the wheel and take a corner, not sure what this is yet, but since i got the knock i decided to crawl under my truck and really review all the work that had been done.

I noticed the dumb**** muffler place didnt cable tie two of the lines (no idea what flows throughs these tubes, scared it may be fuel, or electic) back by the spare tire on the driver side. one of these tubes was laying on the second exhaust pipe and had melted through the plastic proctive cover. Jesus christ, what a ****in deal. I have since cabled tied this tube line to another wire/tube to prevent it from laying on it.

My point is, make sure you throughly review any work done on your truck. Even if your not mechanically inlcined, you can notice stuff like this crap and make a world of difference.

Can anyone tell me what these tubes are back by the spare tire. when lays above the spare and really out of the way,the other is got a shield on it and is a tube (this is the one that has the melted shield)???

TIA and be careful,

It could potentially be the emergency brake cable.

Either that or it sounds like it may be some wires for trailer lights if you have the tow/haul package.

Sorry to hear about that, it always frustrates me when the shops do careless jobs. Sorry again to hear about that and hope all goes well!

Id lean more towards the trailer harness thats where they are usually ran up by the spare, check the wires over though cause a bare wire could wreak havak on your electrical components and battery (I had my battery cable resting on my exhaust pipe on my old truck.....went through 4 batteries in 3 weeks!)
