Default Getting a Flowmaster 50 HD -Where to exit?

Hi all.

After reading many thoughts here, and other forums, I have decided to go with a flowmaster 50 HD on my week old 2006 Dodge Ram Hemi.

My question, is thoughts on one of two methods

1) Simply remove my stock muffler, and replace with this new 50 HD. Thus from the new flowmaster, would be stock pipe, into resinator, and exist behind the rear tire.

2) Replace stock muffler with new Flowmaster 50 HD, and either exit staight pipe before rear tire, or go with down spout after new flow master.

I want loud, but also wish to enjoy my truck on drives with my wife. This is the first of many mods coming for this Mopar.

Thanks for all thoughts, I have ordered the Flowmaster 50HD, and the truck is booked in for this friday (June 23)

Personally, I'd go with the replacement of the muffler option. You keep the resonator, so hopefully there will be little to no in cab resonance and it will still have a deep, powerful sound. Also, the stock exhaust is made of good material, no need wasting it with cheaper stuff (Most shops will use aluminized piping, unless you specifically ask for stainless, which will cost more)

go onto the website (http://www.flowmastermufflers.com), click features and go to Features. Then click sound clips and go down to 50 H.D.

I have the 50HD dualed out exiting on the passenger side, and the resonance is quite pervasive - my dash and center console are buzzing when the engine is cold, and a pretty mind rattling hum is in the cab when the windows are up and the cab is sealed. I would go with the recomendation to leave the resonator - you could always take it off later. ..and it will probably have a perfect tone.
