Putting Amp in 2006 Ram. Now car wont start? Is there a RESET?
Looking for some info...
I was putting an aftermarket AMP (amp only) in a 2006 Dodge Ram. I have done this before on 04 models so I'm somewhat familar with the truck. Anyhow, I went directly to the factory amp (behind glove box) and used the one plug for my speaker leads and tapped into the other plug (the one that connects to the actual stereo) for my signal. I used a converter to convert to RCA leads.
Anyhow, through all this, I had the main deck out (it had a GPS system built in). I was testing/unplugging here and there. Nothing was cut during the install, but I did unplug things here and there, for testing. After the install i went to start the truck and NOTHING. I get power to the radio, lights, etc, but when i crank i get NOTHING.
Does this have something to do with the factory alarm? It doesnt seem to arm itself anymore either. Atleast the light on the dash doesnt blink now. I left the negative off overnight and still have NOTHING when i crank.
Any Suggestions????
Thanks in advance
