Default High Flow Y - Pipe questions

Takes me a while to get up to speed, but now that i have actually crawled under the truck, i have a better appreciation for this recommendation.


I recently got a super 40 installed single in dual out. Love the sound. Now my question is do i need to take it back to the shop and have a custom high flow y-pipe installed to replace the restrictive stock

will it be a noticeable difference in power and sound??


Is it worth the mod, should this be my next mod to my truck???

Here is what is on my growing list of to-dos:

-tint (65$ for the front two windows to match the factory rear QC)
-headers (at least 6 months down the road due to cost)
-true dual exhaust (after the headers)
-4.56 gears (just researching this now)
-superchips programmer (debating, i could start using 89 octane)

wait until u get the headers first. If you get the Y pipe now ran off of your stock manifolds, then get headers, the pipe may not connect to the new headers. What kind of headers do you want?

oh i just read that u want true duels when u get headers. I thinks its a waste of money if you get the Y pipe and then 6 mths later go to true duels

yea - it would be a waste - when ppl go with headers do they typically goto trual duals?

some do some dont. Im getting the dynatechs and they come with a 2 cats and y pipe. I wouldnt go with true duels but its up to you
