Recently, I have noticed that when accelerating hard in first gear, when I get up around 5000+ rpms my engine has this really loud whine sound... It sounds almost like the same kind of annoying sound that a supercharger would make... I have no idea what could be causing it... I don't hear it with the windows up, but with the windows rolled down, I can hear it clear as day coming from the engine...

Anyone have any idea what might cause a sound like this?

I have 33,000km's by the way.

 

Maybe the air pump for the catalytic converter

 

My truck has done that basically since new.. as has my dads, and I'm at like 150,000KM and still running strong, and my dad is at more.

 

Oh okay... Maybe I just haven't noticed it for a while... Because of my glasspacks exhaust... And I was cruising with teh windows down the other day, and I heard this really crazy sound from the engine...

Hehe, now that I think about it... Before I got the exhaust done, the engine was loud as fock... I guess I'm making a big deal of nothing...
