I have an 03 1500 hemi, and I want to do a power programmer on it. Once the programmer has been used can it be used on another vehicle?? Or does it encode itself into that one truck?? If there usuable on more than one truck...does somebody want to lend or even rent me theres and ill ship it back to you?? Id much rather not pay full price for one if I know I can get one from one of you guys and just give it back later on.

 

Nope...sorry. If you are speaking of the Hypertech programmer, it can only be used on one vehicle at a time.

 

Superchips is the same way,you can only program 1 vehicle at a time as it stores your stock program in the controler.That way you can put it back to stock any time you wish,like when you take it to a dealership for warranty work.Most of the time if warranty work is done the dealer will re-flash your ECU to reset faults and program updates for your truck,so when you get one of these,always go back to stock before you take it into a dealer.

The Superchips will tell you right off the bat, too, this unit is locked!

 

Our tuners have the ability that you can return the vehicle the VIN is locked to back to stock and then the tuner can be used on another vehicle.
Althoug I do buy alot of things used, we do not support a warrenty on the product unless you have a copy of a sale invoice of the purchase of the tuner.
So if you buy one second hand you better get a copy of his invoice.
Mind you the warrentee does NOT cover the tuner as a VIN locked. If it is vin locked, to unlock the tuner with or without a invoice is $200+shipping
