hey i also heard if we use anything but 5w-20 the mds will not work. if this is true cant we all just use 5w-30 or 10w-30 and get rid of the loss of 4cylinders and make everyone with exhausts pleased about their investment?

i also have an 06 hemi 1500 reg cab 2wd swb i would like to hear and see a exhaust video of an 06 before i put exhaust on if anybody has one please post it . i am wanting to know what the outside sound will be like thanks.

i highly recommend the flowmaster super 40 it sounds great.. the only draw back is when the mds kicks in but it isnt as bad as what people make it out to be...it sounds normal from the outside its just in the cab

Not likely. Probably deactivate it with a programmer though.

Already asked Superchips about that. They said they weren't planning on adding an option to turn off the MDS.
I have gotten a little more used to the sound my exhauxt makes with the MDS. But i still wish there was an option to turn it off. With the driving i do every day, i have a feeling the MDS will being going out very quickly!!!! I'm not complaining about the MDS in general, heck i almost got 19 mpg the other day, just worried that the constant on/off of the MDS while driving in the normal 580 traffic will wear it down.

i dont think it'll wear down if it does tho i wont be disappointed....but i do get about 20 to the gallon on the hw which is pretty nice. but i didnt get the truck for gas mileage as im sure not many of us did. i to have gotten used to the mds kickin in with the flowmasters
