2nd thing is to put on the seatbelts. in the process of trying it now.

 

Well, I seen no reason to put seatbelt on being that it will not chime unless the truck is in motion without it being on. Since the key is only going to be turned to the "on" position and you will not be starting the truck, I skipped the seatbelt step and it worked fine.

 

Doesn't work for me either.

 

Says in the manual to put on the seat belt. Forgot why tho.

 

I figured the stupid thing out - had same damn problems y'all are having. The trick is NOT to read the manual, it will only lead you astray. However, DO read the ADDENDUM that comes with it - one of mine was specifically about disabling this. Here's a scan of the addendum, this oughta get it for ya.

Yep,the addendum was the trick for my 06.

 

Good - glad that helped y'all out. I have disabled the panic button on all of my remotes - it's very simple. Take the fob apart, put a small piece of electrical tape over the contact for the Panic button, re-assemble. It's super-easy and 100% effective.
