I think that they are covered once if under 12K miles. It is a common problem with the Ram's. DC uses crappy rotors. Now would be the time to replace them because you'll either replace them now or replace them later. Take your pick.
Mine started out with deep groves on my right rear then my left rear. truck only had 1500 miles on it when it started took it bake to the deakler and they said it was nornmal wear. The I told them that I had a vibration in my steering wheel when I used my brakes. I made it up .The said my front rotors were warped 40 per cent and replaced them . After taking it back five times they finally decided to fix the rear rotors. At 5,000 .The parts manager told me that Chrysler uses Cheap rotors to keep the cost down.
My advice - Bite the bullet and replace those cheap factory rotors with some good quality aftermarket rotors and pads. Otherwise, you'll be going back to the dealer more often than you go do the dentist.
take the free rotors until you get irritated then buy whatever. Mine went out at 20k and I was SOL. I bought some drilled and slotted off ebay and some bendix pads from advanced auto. 1 month and no problems so far.
